The web team have been hard at work this month. We got the tick of approval on our designs for an exciting new website which our team are well under way with developing. Another site was pushed to staging which our client was stoked to see! Plus we are VERY close to being able to share something big with you!

BRAND & DESIGN

We presented the concepts for a rebrand of a local client (which they loved!) that we CAN'T WAIT to share. It was also a big month for retainer work. If you didn't know, our retainer clients can utilise our design team essentially as their own in-house designers. It can be a super cost-effective, timely and valuable solution for businesses, so do reach out if you'd like to discuss it for yourself!

SOMETHING TO NOTE

.au domain names are now available for all

You may remember back in March we let you know about the new .au format for web addresses. This new structure, which does away with .com, .org, .net, and other suffixes, gives Australian businesses the option to secure a shorter, more memorable domain.

For the past six months, registration was open to businesses with an existing domain name to secure their .au alternative. Now, registration is open to the general public

Remember: securing your .au domain can help prevent people from impersonating your business. We can help you secure your domain today.

SOMETHING WE SAW

The big takeaways from Adobe MAX 2022

Always a big day on the calendar of any designer, Adobe once again held their Adobe MAX conference recently. AI really stole the show this year. Here are some exciting announcements:

  • Adobe's AI program, Sensei, now allows users to extend the edges of an image, and seamlessly fills the background for them with the click of a button. It can also change a scene from day to night.
  • With AI powered text effects, users can simply enter a prompt, such as 'text made of orchid petals' and Adobe Sensei will generate multiple matching text effects.

SOMETHING WE SAW

A new logo for King Charles

King Charles' new monogram, also known as a cipher, was recently revealed. The new monogram features an interlocking 'C' for Charles and 'R' for Rex (Latin for King), III, alluding to Charles the III, and a crown. While the ornate design is unsurprising, we think the composition of the logo is great, and particularly like the flat, black version used on envelopes from King Charles' office.

SOMETHING TO SHARE

Welcome, McGrath Foundation!

We're stoked to announce that we've brought the McGrath Foundation onboard as a client. We've long admired the McGrath Foundation and the incredible work they do, so we're over the moon to be working with them on a whole range of projects now and into the future.

We can't share any work just yet, but keep your eyes peeled over the coming months!
