Highlights from August
We had a jam packed month, with the exciting launch of two branding projects for local clients. First, we said 'bonjour' to the branding for local restaurant, Le Bistrot du Coin, who launched to rave reviews. Next we said 'I do' to a new brand for the iconic Burnham Estate, Camden's premier wedding venue. We were also thrilled to welcome a new client, Business NSW, who we've already kicked off our second project with. Built in the 1880’s, Burnham Estate is a grand, historic, multi-award winning estate surrounded by acres of architecturally designed gardens.
The Burnham team approached Greenhouse with the objective to better match their brand's look and feel with the ambience of their elegant estate. To enable Burnham Estate to position itself as THE wedding venue in the local area, we created a super elegant brand with a variety of logos (including illustrations of the location), teardrop banners, way-finding signage, business cards, thank you cards, and more.

Fans rain on the Raiders' parade with brand refresh
The Canberra Raiders were met with backlash this month after unveiling their brand refresh. They're no strangers to a refresh, having done so just three years ago. At the time we said, "The new identity is similar enough to the old that even the loyalist fan couldn't fault it." We certainly can't make such a claim this time.
While the 2020 refresh saw minute changes, this refresh was more obvious. Fans on social media were quick to criticise the changes, which include a simplification of the viking, as well as ditching the club's lime colour in favour of a deeper hue.
Passionate reactions are par for the course when brands have loyal supporters, however after this latest episode, we don't think the Raiders will be refreshing again any time soon!
A roaring brand refresh for the Premier League
Back in 2016, the Premier League rebranded, debuting one of the best sporting visual identities in recent memory. So when we saw that they were refreshing their brand for the 2023/24 season, we were a little worried.
Thankfully, the refresh is minimal. Key changes include dropping the wordmark portion of the logo ("Premier League") in most instances. In doing so, they evidently hope their iconic lion icon will be recognisable on its own, much like Nike's swoosh and McDonald's golden arches.
The colour palette has also seen a shake up, with the previous bold colours dropped in favour of gradients. While we're sad to see the previous colours go, the new palette works well and certainly makes the identity feel fresh. Check out more below.

Situated on the sun-drenched corner of Argyle St & Murray St, Le Bistrot Du Coin is a French inspired café, bistro & wine bar delivering a decadent & Parisian experience in Camden.
The Le Bistrot team approached Greenhouse to help them rebrand their previous restaurant 'Dirty Bird' into their brand new concept 'Le Bistrot Du Coin'. We brought their concept to life by creating a brand that really emphasises the Parisian experience the team were looking for, including a brand new logo, updated menus, gift vouchers, social media templates and more.
